Norway: European PG Cup 2005 in DDR.

Location/Event: The Gathering in "Vikingskipet" (the Norwegian Olympic ice skating hall from 1994) in Hamar, 2 hours north from Oslo.
Travelling info: Available on www.gathering.org (the page still shows last year's invitation, it will be updated shortly. The directions/travelling info is the same like last year, however).
Time: The tournament goes from 0900 until 1900 on Saturday March 26th. The Gathering starts on March 23rd and ends on March 27th. The finals will start at 1700 and will be played by the stage, shown on big screens, and will also be streamed online by TGTV. We recommend that all who wish to participate come latest on Thursday evening and plan to stay until Sunday.
Price: 300 NOK pr. player, which gives entry to The Gathering for the entire 5 day event. Those who already have purchased tickets for The Gathering don't have to pay for the tournament.
Accomodation: The fee of NOK 300 covers entry to The Gathering for all 5 days.
Most visitors at The Gathering sleep inside the hall, using their own sleeping bags and sleeping mats. It is also possible to sleep in hotels, information about hotels may be found at www.gathering.org.
Number / type of machines: 3 x Dancing Stage Euromix II (because it still is the latest available mix licensed for Europe).
Number of participants: Max 60.
Qualification for participating: Being able to clear all 9-footers on Dancing Stage Euromix II.
Registration: Registration must be done up front. The first 40 confirming their participation by sending an e-mail to tbt@positivegaming.com will be accepted, but all participants must be able to clear all the 9-footers on Dancing Stage Euromix II. The remaining 20 places will be reserved for National Champions in a number of European countries. Pre-registration possibilities end on March 1st at 11 AM. After we have received an e-mail registration, we will send specific information which explains all details regarding final registration and payment. Anyone who registers MUST join the tournament or (in case of an emergency) send an e-mail with an explanation as early as possible to tbt@positivegaming.com. Failure to do this will ban the person from participating in future tournaments arranged by Positive Gaming AS.

Prizes: Nr. 1-3 Will be sponsored EUR 350 for covering both travelling costs as well as living costs for the next European PG Cup which is outside the player's own country. The payments will be available against receipts confirming the costs
Number 1-3 will also receive trophies and medals.
Number 1-10 will receive dance pads of different standards.
Spectators must pay the normal fee for entering The Gathering. Arrangements will be made to make it a spectator friendly tournament.
We expect substantial media coverage for this event, as DDR is registered as a sport in Norway and the National media covers our events often.

Sales booth: We will have a sales booth by the ddr-machines during The Gathering, where we will offer ddr-accessories: Cobaltflux-pads, soft pads, t-shirts, bags, towels etc. It is our goal to become Europe's leading distributor of high-quality dance pads, and we wish the communities and players involved in order to reach that goal. We will also launch our new European ddr-webshop and offer European communities and players to become agents and recruiters for the web shop and towards potential European customers.
Innovative ddr: On Friday 25th at 1800, we will have a short presentation / test tournament of a new ddr-innovation which will show all that the future has a lot more in store for ddr.
More information will follow along the way. We will do our best to answer all questions and concerns. We do have a lot to do from now and until the event, so please have patience with us.
